Abingdon and the First World War
Those Who Served
The original of this photograph has hung on the wall of the Conservative Club for many years but we have no information about the soldier shown in the image. It is said to have been taken in the garden of the building which is now the Conservative Club when it was a house called Helenstowe and the date is thought to be 1915.
