Despite his brushes with death which earned him the Military Cross, William Leach did not die in the war. He may however have had poor health as the article on the right indicates that he was gassed and the obituary below refers to his "early death". (1933). This was supplied by Abingdon School, as was the photo of their cricket team of 1907, with William said to be sitting on the right.
